For more than 10 years, Sam Thomas has honed his creative ear and fine tuned his technical music skills as award-winning Bryan-Michael Cox's top mixing and tracking engineer. His work regularly takes him to New York, LA, Miami, and Atlanta, recently allowing him to mix for the likes of Chris Brown, Joe, Mary J. Blige, Day 26, Danity Kane, Monica, Ginuwine, Ciara, and Toni Braxton.
In 2009, India.Arie’s “Pearls” won Best Urban/Alternative Performance mixed by Sam. In 2008, Mary J. Blige’s album “Growing Pains” won a Grammy for Best Contemporary R&B Album, making Sam’s work a part of 20 Grammy winning and Grammy nominated projects to date.
Recently, Sam mixed Ginuwine’s Single “Last Chance” and India.Arie’s entire new album, Testimony Vol.2 Love & Politics nominated for 3 Grammy’s and Winning for Best Urban/Alternative Performance in 2009. When he’s not mixing for Bryan or other A-list producers, he's mixing his own projects here and abroad.
